Job Title: SEMH Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEMH Teacher to join our team at a primary school in Hackney. As a SEMH Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH, developing and implementing individualized learning plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive classroom environment, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth among students.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents to ensure seamless communication and support.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior support, helping to create a positive and respectful learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH is highly desirable, with a proven track record of delivering effective support and interventions.
  • A patient, caring, and empathetic approach, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment, with a strong understanding of child development and special educational needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education is a plus, with a strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
