About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a highly regarded secondary school in Hackney. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of additional needs, ensuring they have access to the resources and support they require to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with additional needs, developing personalized learning plans to meet their unique requirements
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, adapting materials to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers to ensure seamless support and progress
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting social and emotional well-being among students
Requirements
  • GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent in English and Mathematics
  • Experience working with students with additional needs, preferably in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Awareness of issues related to student underachievement and barriers to learning, with a commitment to addressing these challenges
