We are the Football Foundation, a charitable organization supported by the Premier League, the FA, and the government, dedicated to enhancing grassroots sports facilities and positively impacting communities in need.

To support our vital mission, we are currently seeking individuals for the position of Funding Support Coordinator. This role is part of a dynamic, centralized team that collaborates to maximize our impact in the community.

Responsibilities include evaluating capital and operational funding applications, preparing and formatting assessment documents, drafting funding agreements, processing claims, and ensuring accurate data entry into our internal systems. You will also engage with applicants to schedule monitoring and evaluation discussions, while providing administrative assistance across the organization, consistently delivering high-quality customer service.

About the Football Foundation

Over the past two decades, we have granted over 23,000 funding awards, amounting to more than £877 million, to develop exceptional grassroots facilities throughout England. This year, we are committed to investing more resources than ever into enhancing sports facilities and improving the football experience for all.

Our mission is to harness the potential of sports facilities, ensuring everyone has access to quality playing spaces, irrespective of gender, race, disability, or location.

Candidate Profile

We welcome applications from individuals who possess a solid understanding of funding application processes and governance, along with insights into how sports can benefit communities. Experience in office administration systems, providing effective support to diverse teams, and communicating with colleagues and clients remotely is essential.

We seek a collaborative team member with meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities, who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer and administrative support.

While a passion for football is not a prerequisite, an appreciation for the transformative power of sports and a genuine interest in contributing to our charitable objectives are highly valued.

What We Offer

The salary for this position ranges from £25,000 to £27,000 per annum, depending on relevant skills and experience.

You will receive 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays (increasing after two years), along with additional time off for volunteering.
