Advanced Occupational Therapist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Occupational Therapist to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of residents, and to organise this efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time and supporting junior therapists in this process.
- Formulate and deliver an individual Occupational Therapy management and treatment programme based on specialist knowledge of clinically reasoned and evidence-based practice and treatment options. Employ advanced clinical assessment, knowledge and reasoning skills to provide treatment using a broad range of techniques and other alternative options.
- Take responsibility and oversee the clinical OT supervision, education and performance of more junior members of therapy staff, students (when present), and therapy assistants. Undertake the supervision/appraisal of these staff groups, ensuring that all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
Requirements
- OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY PROFESSION QUALIFICATION
- Extensive and relevant post qualification clinical experience with children and young people who have complex needs
- Extensive experience of applying occupational frames of reference and approaches
- Demonstrates evidence highly effective clinical reasoning skills
- Highly specialist knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models
