We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Specialist Occupational Therapist. In this role, you will lead in the advanced assessment and treatment of residents with diverse and complex physical and neurological conditions.
As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will be instrumental in promoting health and independence by delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions. You will also provide clinical leadership, supervision, and consultation to the wider multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of residents and organise this efficiently and effectively.
- Formulate and deliver individual Occupational Therapy management and treatment programmes based on specialist knowledge and evidence-based practice.
- Take responsibility for the clinical OT supervision, education, and performance of junior members of therapy staff, students, and therapy assistants.
- Occupational Therapy profession qualification
- Extensive and relevant post-qualification clinical experience with children and young people who have complex needs
- Extensive experience of applying occupational frames of reference and approaches
- Demonstrates evidence of highly effective clinical reasoning skills
- Highly specialist knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models
- Annual salary of £40,500 pro rata
