Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Safety Case Engineer to join our client's team in Manchester. As a Senior Safety Case Engineer, you will be responsible for providing nuclear safety input to design projects and ensuring that nuclear safety requirements are incorporated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nuclear safety input to design projects and bids
  • Prepare and agree the Safety Case Strategy
  • Produce, verify, and approve calculations, analyses, design basis documentation, and technical reports
  • Manage delivery for the work undertaken within their agreed remit against cost and programme to the satisfaction of the Key Stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor Honours Degree (minimum) in Science or Engineering related discipline
  • Cross-industry experience, knowledge of a wide range of nuclear facilities and their operations
  • Experience in developing and preparing safety documentation for projects such as Hazard Management Strategy, Safety Reports, and ALARP arguments
  • Experienced in managing teams to deliver large, technically complex, fit for purpose safety cases
