About the Opportunity

Amentum is currently recruiting for Principal Nuclear Safety Case Engineers to join our Nuclear Power business. Our offices are located in various locations across the UK, with flexible and hybrid working arrangements in place. We are seeking experienced professionals to work on diverse projects in the civil nuclear and Defence sectors, covering next-generation systems, emerging reactor technologies, and supporting the operation of existing nuclear facilities and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver work to agreed budgets and timescales to ensure client satisfaction, often undertaking the lead role on tasks.
  • Liaise with clients to develop relationships, understand their challenges, and develop and present solutions.
  • Represent the business in technical meetings with clients, regulators, and other third parties.
  • Lead the development of contract proposals and tenders to address clients' needs and demonstrate value.
  • Maintain the technical capability/knowledge of the community and mentor junior team members.
  • Proven experience in the development of Safety Case documentation and tasks within a nuclear or highly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrate successful delivery of Safety Case tasks and provide solutions to clients.
  • Experience of executing project tasks against relevant standards and best practices.
  • Good communication skills and ability to articulate information to a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Chartered Member of a professional institute, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
