Job Overview

Microlise is seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our team as an Installation and Support Specialist. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and supporting our products at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit customer sites to install, service, and support products, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks
  • Conduct site surveys to identify suitable solutions for customers, providing expert advice and recommendations
  • Perform quality assurance visits to ensure products and peripherals meet our high standards
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock is available to meet customer demands
  • Maintain vehicle and tools/equipment in excellent condition, adhering to safety protocols and procedures
  • Liaise with customers at all levels, providing exceptional service and support
  • Collaborate with peers and contractor resources to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Conduct accurate and concise administration, ensuring timely reporting and data entry
  • Adhere to internal processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Report statistical information as required, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions

Requirements

  • Proven experience in auto electrics and/or telematics, with a strong understanding of vehicle wiring diagrams
  • Valid UK driving license, with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work to Service Level Agreements and Operational Schedules, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
  • Strong customer service skills, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, solving problems and making decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Pride in quality and accuracy, with a focus on delivering exceptional results
  • Valid passport for travel, with flexibility to work in various locations

Work Schedule

Field Engineers work shifts on a rota basis, including weekends. Full details will be discussed during the interview stage.

This is a field-based role, with occasional visits to our Head Office in Nottingham.
