Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Professional to join our team at Imerys. As a key member of our Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for providing mechanical and electrical expertise to maximize plant and equipment availability.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance tasks to ensure optimal plant and equipment performance.
  • Conduct fault finding, diagnostic, and installation work to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Calibrate and diagnose faults on instrumentation systems to ensure accurate and reliable data.
  • Carry out risk assessments and ensure all work areas are clean and free from hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Order site spares and materials to support maintenance activities.
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces to access and maintain plant and equipment.

Requirements

  • A background in a commercial, heavy industrial, production, or factory-based environment with mechanical experience of fixed processing plant and equipment.
  • Experience of working with/on pumps, welding, mills, burners/furnaces/gas, intrusive chemical work, and centrifuges is essential.
  • An apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) to demonstrate technical expertise.
  • A strong HSE ethos to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Proficiency in the use of IT to support maintenance activities.
  • Licence to drive in the UK to facilitate travel to work.
