About the Role

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new in-house opportunity at a state-of-the-art data centre complex based in Essex. Due to their continued expansion, we seek a proactive Day Multi-Skilled M&E Maintenance “Critical Services” Technician to join their large team. Key Responsibilities

As a member of the team, you will:

  • As the Day Multi-Skilled M&E Maintenance “Critical Services” Technician you will work alongside the shift teams performing planned and reactive maintenance on critical systems, including single & three-phase power, UPS, power generators, H/V systems, close control air conditioning units, lighting, pumps, motors, fire alarm & fire suppression systems, and BMS operations.
  • Ensure the smooth operation and reliability of all electrical, mechanical and air conditioning systems within the data centre.
  • Respond promptly to any electrical, mechanical or air conditioning issues, providing efficient and effective solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Have completed electrical or mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent time-served experience in M&E maintenance critical environments.
  • A proven track record working within data centres, banking, or pharmaceutical environments.
  • Full Electrical or Mechanical City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience in the maintenance of critical systems, with a willingness to undergo further training, including F-Gas or H/V training if required.
