Position Overview: Are you an experienced HGV Technician or a test engineer seeking a new and rewarding challenge? Antony James Recruitment Ltd is currently in search of skilled HGV technicians and/or test engineers who possess the expertise to maintain and repair a fleet of vehicles to the highest standards.
About the Role: This is a fantastic opportunity to embrace a new challenge within a vibrant and rapidly expanding organization. Candidates should ideally have a solid background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance of heavy goods vehicles.
Working Hours: This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours per week, accompanied by a competitive salary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with HGVs.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems or safety concerns.
- Repair or replace defective components, including engines, transmissions, and brakes.
- Adhere to manufacturer's guidelines and specifications for all repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Demonstrate previous experience as an HGV Technician or in a comparable role.
- Exhibit strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of HGV systems.
- Show proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and equipment effectively for repairs and maintenance.
- Welding experience is advantageous.
- Forklift operation experience is preferred.
