Job Description

Our client, a reputable organization in the Cheltenham area, is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to employees across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Log and manage support tickets for all issues reported, including daily checks and escalations to senior support staff as needed.
  • Process requests for new starters, leavers, and movers, ensuring a seamless transition for employees.
  • Build and configure laptops and smartphone handsets to meet team standards.
  • Host inductions for new employees and assist with employee moves, meeting room setups, and new office installations.
  • Perform equipment fault finding, troubleshooting, testing, repair, or dispatch for repair.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience working in IT, preferably in a help desk or technical support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10 (configuration and support) and Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Active Directory user management and Entra ID user management experience.
  • General understanding of LAN, WAN, DHCP, and DNS.
