About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Graduate Buyer to join our team at Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Ltd. As a Graduate Buyer, you will be responsible for negotiating with suppliers, finding new suppliers, and analyzing inventory and sales levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiating with Suppliers: You will be responsible for negotiating with suppliers on products and contract reviews.
- Supplier Development: You will be responsible for finding new suppliers and growing the business.
- Inventory and Sales Analysis: You will be responsible for analyzing inventory and sales levels to optimize the supply chain.
- Supply Chain Optimization: You will be responsible for optimizing the supply chain to ensure timely delivery of customer orders.
- Customer Liaison: You will be responsible for liaising with customers and updating them on their order progress.
- Service Level Improvement: You will be responsible for maximizing and improving service levels to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Custom Clearance: You will be responsible for liaising with customs clearance agents for overseas deliveries.
- Import and Export Documentation: You will be responsible for completing import and export documentation.
Requirements:
- CIPS Qualification: You will need to be CIPS qualified and/or educated to degree level in supply chain/logistics.
- Negotiation Skills: You will need to have strong and varied negotiation skills.
- Attention to Detail: You will need to be detail orientated with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Computer Skills: You will need to have excellent computer skills and be proficient using Excel.
- Driving License: You will need a driving license and access to your own vehicle.
