Job Title: Consultant Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Lead to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our obstetric department, you will be responsible for leading the Labour ward and developing antenatal and postnatal pathways.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Labour ward and develop antenatal and postnatal pathways
  • Develop and implement high-risk obstetrics services
  • Manage complex obstetric cases
  • Contribute to the development of the Annual Service Plan for the Directorate and Division
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, including risk management and clinical audits
Requirements:
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent
  • Experience in high-risk obstetrics and ability to run Labour ward and on-call acute gynaecology independently
  • Experience and interest in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs
  • Knowledge and experience of delivery of RCOG training programme
  • Ability to use Microsoft office packages, e.g. MS Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint
