Job Title: Consultant Cardiology Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Cardiology Medicine to join our team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a Consultant Cardiology Medicine, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our Critical Care Department in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

About the Role

  • Providing expert clinical care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions
  • Leading the Critical Care Department in delivering high-quality patient care and outcomes
  • Developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures to improve patient care
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • MBBS (or equivalent) and full registration with the GMC
  • CCT or CESR(CP) in Intensive Care Medicine, or within 6 months of obtaining this at the time of interview
  • FICE echocardiography accreditation
  • FRCA, MRCP or FRCEM (if intending to work future sessions in the respective specialty)
  • ALS/APLS/ATLS Instructor in at least one of these courses
