About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Lufton College, a specialist college providing quality care and education for young people with autism and complex needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement high-quality curriculum plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that promote independent living skills, personal resilience, and engagement in learning.
  • Act as a personal tutor to a small group of students, supporting them to achieve their EHCP outcomes.
  • Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team to deliver care and education with therapeutic approaches.
  • Contribute to the development of our students' skills and knowledge to prepare them for adulthood.

Requirements:

  • Experience in teaching students with autism and complex needs.
