Senior Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Assistant to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and work closely with the pharmacy stores team to ensure accurate and efficient receipt of medicines.
- Carry out routine tasks including stock top-ups, supply and distribution to wards and departments in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Undertake Pharmacy Assistant duties as required to meet the needs of the service.
- Assist technical and professional staff in undertaking audit and review of systems.
- Participate in training new assistants and students.
- NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services (or Equivalent) as recognized by the GPHC.
- Experience of working with the public and knowledge of Pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and take instructions from more senior members of staff.
