The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Transport Coordinator/Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a healthy sub-contractor pool, ensuring strong communication with sub-contractors, and generating detailed reports to identify areas for improvement within the transport function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a sub-contractor pool to meet business delivery demands while minimizing costs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with sub-contractors through regular communication.
- Generate and analyze reports to identify areas for improvement within the transport function.
- Ensure all customer requests are processed in a timely manner and updated in the system.
- Maintain a strong sub-contractor list throughout the year, with a minimum percentage of KTL loads covered.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in a fast-paced transport or logistics environment.
- Numerate and able to work with numerical data.
- Highly competent with PC literacy and good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and transport IT/web-based systems.
- Excellent customer service and administration skills.
- Highly organized, self-sufficient, and able to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines.
- Flexible in approach to work and hours.
- Good UK geographical knowledge.
- Reliable in approach to work and adaptable to fit into different teams and environments.
- Professional in appearance and manner.
- Adaptable to change and a strong team player.
