Pallet Network Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Pallet Network Planner to join our team at Knowles Logistics. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective running of our day-to-day Pallet Network fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the effective movement of freight around the local area, including providing strong planning of the operational logistics arm of the business.
- Communicate effectively with the team to meet the demands of the network and provide the best customer service possible to internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and problem-solve any issues that may occur with drivers, ensuring efficient communication and resolution.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a fast-paced transport or logistics environment.
- Operator licencing awareness and up-to-date knowledge of compliance, including gross weights, construction and use regulations, Working Time Directive, and EU Drivers' hours.
- PC literate with sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as traffic management and warehouse management systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent customer service skills.
- Highly organized, self-sufficient, and able to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines.
- Flexible approach to work and hours, adaptable to change, and a strong team player.
- Local area knowledge, with the ability to develop and grow in the role.
Requirements:
- Proactive with the ability to make quick decisions and communicate changes swiftly to those affected.
- A highly organized self-starter, responsible for own actions and decisions.
