About the Role

In this position as a Gardening Professional at HC-One Ltd, you will be responsible for maintaining and presenting the company's care home gardens and grounds to the highest standard. This will involve undertaking gardening duties, including planting seasonal foliage, grass-cutting, shrub maintenance, and pruning. You will also be responsible for the upkeep of gardening machinery and tools, as well as ensuring the maintenance and repair of fences and garden furniture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and present care home gardens and grounds to the highest standard
  • Undertake gardening duties, including planting, grass-cutting, shrub maintenance, and pruning
  • Ensure the upkeep of gardening machinery and tools
  • Maintain and repair fences and garden furniture
  • Work closely with the estates team to ensure the smooth operation of the care homes

About You

We are looking for a Gardening Professional who understands and will ensure the implementation of the care home's health and safety policy, and emergency and fire procedures. You will complete mandatory and specialist training related to your role, on or off site, as and when required to maintain and update your professional knowledge and competence. You will also be able to effectively engage and communicate with residents, the home manager, and other colleagues and visitors.
