About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Autonomous Solutions Engineer to join our team at Oxa Autonomy. As a key member of our Solutions Squad, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of autonomy solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with customers to define project requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Conduct technical gap analysis and generate new feature requests as needed.
  • Develop and maintain safety cases, including route analysis, risk assessments, and operational procedures.
  • Lead vehicle acceptance testing and shakedown activities.
  • Commission, calibrate, deploy, and verify compute, software, sensing, and networking components.
  • Build, upgrade, and maintain AV maps.
  • Perform in-field AV monitoring, debugging, tuning, and post-mortem analysis.
  • Work with the launch team to develop plans for ongoing customer support.
Accountabilities
  • Accountable for technical roadmap generation and end-to-end delivery of autonomy solutions.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining documentation detailing software architecture, APIs, and decision flows.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer use cases and requirements, and design and implement solutions to address these.
  • Responsible for efficient and timely solution delivery through participation in regular sprint and alignment meetings.
  • Collaborate and share knowledge with the wider Oxa team, developing a broad understanding of autonomy components and tools.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's / MASc degree or equivalent experience in computer science or robotics.
  • Demonstrated experience in development/delivery of robotics systems and participation in product development in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Working at the interface between software and hardware: deploying, configuring, debugging, and evaluating.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills.
  • Able to translate customer concepts and requirements to a technical solution or service.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in launching a robotics/autonomous product.

  • Using project management tools to facilitate on-time delivery.
  • Knowledge of, and/or experience working with:
    • Robotics: localisation, mapping, planning, perception, ML/semantic understanding, control, sensing modalities, commissioning & calibration.
    • Development: C++/Python, Linux, shell scripting, networking, version control.
    • Engineering: systems integration, POC prototyping, V&V, platform hardware and configuration.
