Join Our Team as a Technician Apprentice

We are seeking a Technician Apprentice to support the growth of our Institute of Health. As part of this role, you will provide technical assistance to various programs, including Nursing, Paramedic Practice, and Diagnostic Radiography, across multiple clinical skills laboratories at our Lancaster campus.

Through our technical apprenticeship training program, you will be enrolled in the Level 3 Higher Education Assistant Technician course, offered by CSR Scientific Training Group and delivered online. You will also receive the IOSH Working Safely qualification and be mentored by senior technicians within the team, gaining expertise in equipment and technology used by our Health programs.

Upon successful completion of your training, you will possess the necessary skills to pursue a successful career as a teaching technician supporting Healthcare programs within the Higher Education sector. You will also be considered for the opportunity to continue working at the University of Cumbria permanently.
