About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Forensic Nurse or Paramedic to join our team at Mountain Healthcare. As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will work closely with the police to provide high-quality care to detainees and their needs, which can vary from drug/alcohol dependency to acute medical episodes.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic with 3+ years' post-qualification experience to work in a dynamic and lively environment. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in forensic healthcare and become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality care to detainees, including forensic sampling and substance misuse therapies.
  • Assessing and caring for detainees and staff in custody suites.
  • Working with Liaison and Diversion to identify any mental health needs.
  • Delivering acute disease management and promoting good personal healthcare.

Requirements
  • Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic
  • A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience
  • Acute medical healthcare experience

Previous experience in any of the following would be ideal: A&E, walk-in centre, substance misuse, community nursing, police custody, prison, as a Paramedic Practitioner, Registered Nurse or other relevant discipline.
