About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Pennine Care NHS FT. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our mental health and therapy service to children, young people, and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the clinical psychologists in the team to deliver an evidence-based, empathic, and effective service.
  • Contribute to the delivery of neurodevelopmental assessments and care plans using a range of psychological models.
  • Complete cognitive assessments, write accessible reports, and provide support to case managers to feedback the findings.
  • Develop and implement service improvement projects to enhance the quality of our services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver group offers and post-diagnostic workshops for parents.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of research projects relevant to Clinical Psychology.
Requirements
  • Upper second-class honors degree or higher in psychology.
  • Entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
  • Experience as a Psychology Assistant.
  • Knowledge of child development and psychology applied to healthcare.
  • High level of communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to communicate sensitive information to patients, carers, and colleagues.
