Assistant Psychologist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Pennine Care NHS FT. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our mental health and therapy service to children, young people, and families in our community.
Key Responsibilities- Support the clinical psychologists in the team to deliver an evidence-based, empathic, and effective service.
- Contribute to the delivery of neurodevelopmental assessments and care plans using a range of psychological models.
- Complete cognitive assessments, write accessible reports, and provide support to case managers to feedback the findings.
- Develop and implement service improvement projects to enhance the quality of our services.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver group offers and post-diagnostic workshops for parents.
- Contribute to the development of therapeutic and information resources to support our service users.
- Participate in reflective practice, team meetings, peer supervision, and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Upper second-class honors degree or higher in psychology.
- Entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
- Experience as a Psychology Assistant.
- Knowledge of child development and psychology applied to healthcare.
- High-level communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to communicate sensitive information to patients, carers, and colleagues.
