Senior Maintenance Engineering Technician

Key ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Maintenance Engineering Technician will:
- Ensure effective shift organization while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
- Maintain equipment to high standards in a timely manner.
- Promote a culture of safety within the team and assist in enhancing quality and efficiency in daily operations.
- Support project initiatives and manage vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with management and team members to drive continuous improvement efforts on-site.
- Receive support from multiple departments and the broader RME team.
This position requires flexibility to work non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends.
Essential Duties- Model best practices in health and safety and monitor compliance among peers.
- Engage in hands-on work while demonstrating expert knowledge of all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) within the facility.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to colleagues in best practices.
- Act as the primary RME contact for the site.
- Ensure high levels of equipment availability for internal customers through effective troubleshooting and prioritization.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems across the EU network.
- Foster strong working relationships at all organizational levels.
- Understand Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and equipment performance metrics.
- Manage contractor activities effectively.
- Multiskilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Experience in base building maintenance.
- Proficient in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for proactive maintenance planning and reactive task recording.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and influence team members.
- Proven capacity to manage multiple projects and workloads simultaneously.
- Experience in managing multiple contractors.
- Background in a multi-site operational environment.
- Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems.
