Job Title: Principal Marine Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Principal Marine Design Engineer to join our team at Expleo Technology. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for technically supporting the delivery of our Marine Defence project to a key client.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate all technical functions of the project team to ensure technical requirements are met.
  • Develop capabilities to support the project.
  • Support checking of deliverables.
  • Support continuous process improvement.
  • Be the technical focal point of the team and build good working relationships with customers.
  • Provide advice and support to team leaders and members to ensure the project is on track.
  • Consult on planning activities and the impact of additional scope and change.
  • Work with the Technical Authority and functional team to provide technical governance and ensure the technical aspects of the project comply with the QMS.
  • Support and identify cost-saving initiatives.
  • Support the development of team members to have an appreciation of the different functions involved in the delivery of the project.
  • Consult on training needs with the Head of Business and Chief Engineers.
Requirements:
  • HNC/Degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience of Marine hardware, systems requirements, and standards.
  • Experience in leading engineering teams to deliver complex multi-functional projects.
  • Strong engineering background for the capabilities listed.
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing engineering role.
  • Marine Defence experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience.
