Job Title: Associate Analytical Chemist

Location: Warrington

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Analytical Chemist to join our team at SRG, a global chemical manufacturer. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Analytical Chemist in performing analysis to support the development of new products and production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze samples within agreed timeframes using techniques and instrumentation such as GC, GC-MS, NIR, and Raman spectrometer
  • Prepare chemical standards and reagents in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Risk Assessments
  • Document all results and activities
  • Maintain laboratory equipment
  • Support in waste management including hazardous waste management

Requirements:

  • A degree in Chemistry (or similar) OR proven industrial experience
  • Industrial experience should involve GC, GC-MS, and NMR analysis
  • Good computer knowledge
  • Ability to manage and prioritize own workload
