About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer to join our Gas Product Testing team in Loughborough. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting test work on a range of gas products and fittings to ensure they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough testing and evaluation of gas products and fittings to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain test procedures and protocols to ensure consistency and accuracy in testing results.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure successful delivery of test projects and provide timely updates on project status.
  • Collaborate with the calibration department to ensure the maintenance and use of correct equipment for testing.
  • Prepare and submit high-quality test reports and project status reports as required.
  • Identify and escalate any issues that may impact testing results or project timelines.
Requirements
  • Qualification to HNC/HND level in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience in a test environment.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports.
  • Good level of computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Office or equivalent.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience with gas-related products gained within a regulatory or certification setting.
  • Knowledge or familiarity of Lean culture and tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025.
