About the Role

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Restaurant Supervisor. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train staff to maintain high standards of food service and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the restaurant is clean and hygienic, adhering to Food Safety Management System (FSMS) standards.
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and inventory control to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of new menus and services to meet customer demands.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to achieve operational targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage staff rotas, ensuring adequate cover and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection process for catering staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Recognized catering qualification and Level 3 food safety certification.
  • Experience in supervising and managing staff, with a strong background in customer-facing roles.
  • Knowledge of COSHH, Health and Safety, and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
