Key Responsibilities
As a Marine Technical Instructor, your role will encompass:
- Delivering exceptional educational experiences through diverse instructional methods.
- Ensuring that teaching practices align with the latest industry standards and reflect a high level of professionalism.
- Providing both academic guidance and personal support to learners in line with established protocols.
- Performing additional reasonable tasks as directed by your supervisor.
- Engaging in the college's performance review process and participating in relevant training opportunities.
- Taking necessary precautions to maintain a safe environment for yourself and others.
- Promoting and integrating equal opportunities across all college activities.
- Preparing the learning environment for effective lesson delivery.
Ideal Qualifications
As a Marine Education Specialist, you should possess:
- A minimum of Level 1 (or equivalent GCSE) in English and Mathematics.
- Certification as a First Aider or a willingness to complete training upon commencement.
- Relevant experience in the Marine Engineering or Electrical sectors.
- A forklift license or a readiness to pursue training.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to demonstrate concepts effectively.
