Key Responsibilities- Manage small and large-scale projects cross-functionally, working closely with the FMO Lead to deliver a multi-year reshaping of our Operations platform.
- Drive value from the middle and back office operations function, collaborating across teams to understand business requirements and build business cases for commercial solutions.
- Evaluate and capture business requirements, ensuring completeness and accuracy in project planning.
- Maintain Issue Logs, meeting notes, project specifications, and updates.
- Contribute to and produce quality test strategies and plans, and manage the testing lifecycle.
- Experience working across middle and back office operations, preferably at a systematic equity hedge fund, with a focus on upgrading existing capabilities and delivering new functionality.
- Experience delivering large-scale cross-functional operational projects, such as OMS/PMS upgrades, affirmation platform implementation, and reconciliation platform onboarding.
- Good understanding of equity, TRS, futures workflows, including ownership of responsibilities and handoffs between Operations teams and stakeholders.
- Good problem-solving and critical analysis skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and challenge assumptions with a broad range of stakeholders.
- The ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritize across concurrent projects.
- Experience evaluating and documenting operational workflows and business processes.
- A willingness to get involved in subject matter details to help resolve issues and support project delivery.
- Expertise in the use of JIRA (or similar) as a project management tool.
- Proficiency with Visio or a similar flow-charting application to document workflows, business processes, and supporting technology.
