Job Description

About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join a local school in Bournemouth. As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in promoting positive behaviour and fostering a supportive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies to promote a positive school ethos.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with behavioural challenges, helping them to develop essential life skills.
  • Collaborate with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans, ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being of students, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and their application in a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
