Youth Support Specialist (Children's Residential Care)
£46 per hour (dependent on experience)

Are you working towards or do you hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)? Do you have a background in supporting children and young individuals? OwnLife Ltd is seeking to recruit a Youth Support Specialist to enhance our dedicated team.
In this role, you will report directly to the manager and play a crucial part in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young individuals in line with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
This position is available on a full-time permanent basis or as a bank (zero hours) contract.Please be aware that shortlisted candidates will need to complete an application form as part of our safer recruitment policy.

Ensure the Home is a safe and secure environment (safeguarding children)- Collaborate with colleagues on essential practical and domestic tasks for the effective functioning of the Home, including shopping, cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Establish clear, consistent, and appropriate boundaries for young individuals
- Center the well-being of each young person in your practice, regardless of the challenges they may present
- Consistently uphold the professional image of the Home through positive interactions with external professionals, families of young individuals, and other relevant parties
- The essential skills and attributes of a
Youth Support Specialist:
- Experience in working with children and young individuals
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare / equivalent or actively pursuing
- Ability to engage with young individuals and address their physical and emotional needs
- Capacity to collaborate with other professionals and the families or caregivers of the young individuals in our care
- Understanding of maintaining professional boundaries with young individuals
