Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Victoria Lodge. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to adults with learning disabilities and older people, enabling them to maintain their independence, skills, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with the Senior Support Workers and Team Leader to ensure the day service is working towards its vision.
- Support and, on occasions, deliver sessions in line with the session plan, both in the building and in the community.
- Complete personal care and administer medication, as required.
- Use IT to update documents such as support plans, risk assessments, and have a good working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and assessments of capacity.
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about working with people with disabilities. You will need to have a proficient level of written and spoken English for case recording and to enable you to work towards a qualification in Health and Social Care if you do not already hold this qualification.
Previous experience of supporting a person with a disability is not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate. We offer excellent training and development opportunities, so more important is the commitment to completing training and qualifications and learning new skills while working alongside a supportive team.
