Your Role and Team

In the capacity of Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will assist in our business development initiatives by formulating technical strategies and showcasing leading expertise in aviation. Additionally, you will be part of a small leadership group responsible for guiding the strategic direction and financial outcomes of the Southern Building Services team. We promote a supportive and collaborative culture, providing an environment conducive to your professional growth. We value curiosity and interpersonal skills, and we are looking for individuals who can enhance our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide, develop, and mentor a well-established team of Building Services Engineers
  • Ensure the quality of our designs and offer technical and professional mentoring to the mechanical team both locally and nationally
  • Lead and execute projects efficiently and to the satisfaction of our clients
  • Engage in business development within the local market
  • Collaborate with other UK Building Services teams to optimize technical direction and utilize standard procedures and digital tools
  • Manage technical risks, negotiate service scopes, and prepare fee proposals

  • Chartered Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Building Services Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in supporting and coordinating all facets of project delivery, particularly with a mechanical aviation focus
  • Innovative mindset with enthusiasm for digital design advancements and 'smart design' in a progressively digital construction landscape
  • Strong technical expertise with a solid understanding of sustainable and net-zero carbon design principles
  • Exceptional client-facing abilities, experienced in presenting to clients with a diverse project portfolio
  • Capability to inspire, support, and guide multidisciplinary professional teams
