The position involves working on a rotating shift schedule, alternating between day and night shifts.
Job Objective:
The primary goal is to provide essential technical assistance to the Supervisor, ensuring that both scheduled and unscheduled tasks are executed effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with Company and Customer standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct tool changes and troubleshoot issues across all stages of Flexible Tube production.
2. Prepare and service tooling, printing plates, inks, and other materials for tool transitions.
3. Perform quality inspections to maintain production standards.
4. Undertake basic maintenance and cleaning of machinery while resolving technical challenges.
5. Identify and rectify faults in machinery as needed.
6. Execute post-production tasks as required.
7. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment throughout each shift.
8. Complete necessary administrative tasks and reporting.
9. Adhere to quality standards established by the Company.
10. Ensure compliance with current legislation and company protocols, particularly regarding Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management.
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Technical qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in mechanical or automotive engineering.
- Proven experience in an engineering setting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, at all organizational levels and with clients.
- Confidence in questioning existing practices and pursuing continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team to meet collective goals.
- Adaptability to changing work demands.
- Proactive in addressing opportunities and challenges in daily tasks.
- Detail-oriented and diligent in all work responsibilities, maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Logical and systematic approach to problem-solving and fault identification.
- Willingness to learn and acquire new skills.
- Commitment to delivering excellent service, recognizing the significance of customer satisfaction.
