We're seeking a talented and experienced Automotive Centre Manager to join our team at Halfords Group PLC. As a key member of our Autocentre business, you will play a vital role in driving business performance, delivering exceptional customer experience, and leading a high-performing team.

About the Role

As a Designate Centre Manager, you will be responsible for supporting local centres within a reasonable travel time and leading the in-centre teams with support, encouragement, and motivation. You will work closely with our management team to drive business performance, improve customer satisfaction, and achieve commercial excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer experience and drive business performance
  • Support local centres within a reasonable travel time and provide guidance and coaching to centre teams
  • Work closely with our management team to drive business performance, improve customer satisfaction, and achieve commercial excellence
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty
  • Manage centre budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to drive business growth and profitability

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Fantastic leadership and team management skills within the automotive or similar industry
  • Experience delivering high customer satisfaction and displaying effective management
  • Engaging and motivational, coaching-based approach to team development and able to provide in-the-moment training
  • Strong financial acumen with experience of managing P&L and optimizing profit
  • Experience of meeting compliance standards across Health and Safety
  • Experienced with high sales turnover and managing KPI's
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
  • Good time management
  • A current valid driving licence
