Position Overview

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Citrix Solutions Architect to collaborate with a prominent financial organization on a contract basis. The selected individual will integrate with the core engineering team, specifically within the global Networks division. This role involves significant contributions to the design, maintenance, and support of the organization's extensive Citrix Desktop Services and Application Farms.

The primary focus will be on transitioning from the existing Citrix legacy infrastructure to a modern Citrix cloud environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in this migration process, as well as in enhancing the on-premises architecture to facilitate this transition.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the lifecycle management of Client, Server, and Infrastructure components utilizing Citrix and Windows ecosystems.
  • Assisting in the assessment and integration of innovative products and solutions within the Citrix portfolio.
  • Contributing to ongoing engineering initiatives to support Citrix Cloud SaaS migrations.

This position requires onsite presence five days a week and is structured as a contract role.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Citrix Engineer within a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Windows operating system internals, including Group Policies, Windows Defender, and the Windows Networking stack.
  • Experience in engineering, managing, and supporting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions, including Citrix and Microsoft platforms.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESX, RedHat OCP, and Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Expertise in automation, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics.
  • Knowledge of Windows Systems Management and Patch Management technologies.
  • Extensive experience with scripting languages, including PowerShell, VBS, SQL, and Windows Batch.
  • Background in Windows build engineering, particularly with MECM.
  • Experience in supporting secure infrastructure solutions, including DMZ environments.
