Job Overview

As a skilled 2nd Chef/Cook within our culinary team, your expertise will be essential in supporting the seamless operation of our catering services during the absence of the Cook Manager. Key Responsibilities

  • In the absence of the Cook Manager, you will lead and inspire a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our residents.
  • Collaborate with the Cook Manager, Home Manager, residents, and families to design menus that meet individual nutritional needs and preferences.
  • Prepare a variety of beverages and snacks throughout the day, catering to the choices of our residents.
  • Plan and execute set menus as directed by the Cook Manager.
  • Manage stock control, including inventory checks, stock rotation, and proper storage, ensuring compliance with delivery protocols.
  • Monitor kitchen supplies and food stocks in partnership with the Home Manager, maintaining accurate records as per company policies.
  • Oversee the presentation and cleanliness of dining areas.
  • Assist in supervising kitchen staff to maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience as a Cook with a strong culinary background.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work independently.
