Job Title: Hospital Pharmacy Technician - Band 5

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a Hospital Pharmacy Technician - Band 5 role in London. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate checking of medications for the inpatient pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the accurate and timely checking of medications for the inpatient pharmacy department
  • Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to maintain stock control and replenish supplies
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation within the dispensary
  • Abide by GPHC standards of conduct, ethics, and performance
  • Select, label, and dispense correct items in accordance with SOPs
  • Dispensing, accuracy checking, and balance checks of controlled drugs
  • Checking the accuracy of inpatient prescriptions dispensed by other pharmacy staff
Requirements:
  • Current and valid registration with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Previous experience working as an ACT Pharmacy Technician
  • Hold an NVQL3 and Btec certificate in pharmacy services that meet the registration criteria of the GPHC
  • Ability to communicate efficiently
  • Ability to interpret prescriptions and dispense accurately
  • Experience of using a pharmacy computer-based stock control and dispensing system
