About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Team Lead to join our operations team at DP World. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and results-driven individual to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of warehouse operatives and provide guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of our warehouse facilities.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to achieve business objectives and ensure that all warehouse operations are aligned with company goals.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of training completed and training to be conducted, and ensure that all team members are up-to-date with the latest procedures and protocols.
  • Monitor and maintain safe working practices and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Drive a culture of quality and excellence, and ensure that all team members are committed to delivering high-quality products and services.
  • Develop and implement visual delivery tracking systems to ensure that commodity status can be seen at a glance.
  • Participate in the follow-up of customer concerns and contribute to assessing root cause using robust countermeasures.
  • Escalate issues as necessary and ensure that all team members are aware of their responsibilities and accountabilities.
  • Report on all throughput, improvement, and people requirements within given time parameters, and provide comprehensive reporting on all KPIs and SLAs performance.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading a team or supervising staff on shifts, with a strong track record of delivering results and improving efficiency.
  • Understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodologies, with experience in implementing process improvements and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Prior experience in working within a busy, fast-paced warehouse/logistics/supply chain environment, with a strong understanding of the principles of supply chain management.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong IT knowledge, with experience in using Excel, WMS, and SAP systems.
  • Job experience in a Tier 1 operation is beneficial, with experience in JIT, sequencing, packing, and delivery.
