We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Policy Change Specialist to join our dynamic Policy and Campaigns team at Scope. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in driving policy changes that empower disabled people to enter and thrive in the workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Scope's policy and influencing work, leveraging your expertise to inform and shape policy decisions that promote disability equality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Whitehall and Westminster to create change and influence policy development.
  • Develop and implement research-based strategies to inform policy decisions and drive positive change.
  • Work closely with colleagues to build a collaborative approach that works for different audiences and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest policy developments and trends, identifying opportunities for Scope to influence and shape policy decisions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in securing policy change, with a strong understanding of how Whitehall and Westminster work.
  • Excellent knowledge of government policy-making processes and the role of research in informing policy decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Passion for disability equality and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by disabled people.
  • Experience working with people from marginalized backgrounds is highly desirable.
