Shape the Future of Road Freight Policy

Logistics UK seeks a motivated policy expert to lead its road freight initiatives as Head of Policy (Road Freight & English Regions). As a key member of the team, you will craft strategies and drive change for the safe and efficient movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Road Freight Policy Development – Collaborate with colleagues to drive impactful strategies.
  • Engage and Influence – Develop and strengthen relationships with decision-makers, ensuring our members' voices shape national policy.
  • Inspire Through Insights – Lead Freight Councils across England, delivering high-quality engagement and valuable insights.
  • Deliver Results – Produce top-notch reports, briefings, and presentations, guiding key stakeholders in shaping transport policy.
  • Drive Member Engagement – Keep our members ahead of regulatory changes with clear, insightful briefings and materials.
  • Lead and Mentor – Guide a team of talented policy managers, inspiring them to reach new heights and contribute to Logistics UK's core goals.

Requirements

  • A persuasive communicator and a natural leader, comfortable representing Logistics UK in high-stakes conversations.
  • A proactive policy expert with a background in logistics, sustainability, or public affairs.
  • A dynamic strategist who thrives on collaboration, driven by a passion for shaping the future of road freight.
  • Degree or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of public policy.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a knack for influencing policy at the highest levels.
  • An interest in logistics and a dedication to industry excellence.
