Mechanical Project Manager

Our client, a leading company in the Mechanical, Electrical, and Construction sectors, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Manager. The role is a permanent position with a competitive salary of £50,000 plus a £5,000 car allowance. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive project plans, creating and maintaining project schedules, and ensuring all tasks and milestones are identified and tracked. They will also be responsible for carrying out on-site surveys, supporting the operations team, and managing budgets. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management within a construction environment, a mechanical background, and experience with ground and air heat pumps. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of mechanical engineers, subcontractors, and apprentices, ensuring they are delivering their tasks in a safe and efficient manner. They will also be responsible for negotiating contracts and orders with subcontractors and suppliers, reviewing and approving invoices and variations to orders, and implementing quality control measures to ensure work is completed to industry standards and client specifications. The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying potential project risks and developing contingency plans, proactively addressing project and onsite issues to minimize project disruptions, and ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant Mechanical codes, standards, and regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team, and have a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
