Mechanical Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at DATS Recruitment Ltd. As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing mechanical projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation. Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring all tasks and milestones are identified and tracked.
- Budget Management: Estimate project costs at pre-contract stage, monitor project costs during the project lifecycle, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Team Coordination: Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers, subcontractors, and apprentices. Delegate tasks, provide clear direction, and ensure team members have the correct skills and experience to complete tasks.
- Contract Management: Negotiate contracts and orders with subcontractors and suppliers. Review and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices and variations to orders.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure work is completed to industry standards and client specifications. Conduct regular onsite inspections and audits to verify compliance.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans. Proactively address project and onsite issues to minimize project disruptions.
- Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, attending pre-contract meetings and providing regular updates regarding project progress.
- Project Management experience within a construction environment
- Mechanical background
- Experience of ground and air heat pumps ideal
