Job Overview

As an Airside Transport Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) within Manchester Airport. You'll operate specialized vehicles, including minibuses and Ambilift trucks, to transport PRMs between aircraft and terminal buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough daily vehicle inspections, ensuring operational readiness and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Safely operate company vehicles, adhering to strict airside driving protocols and prioritizing passenger safety.
  • Assist PRMs with boarding and disembarking aircraft, utilizing safe manual handling techniques.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by escorting passengers through the terminal, assisting with security procedures, and ensuring a smooth travel experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of job progress using PDA devices and radio communication.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid UK driving license with D1 category endorsement.
  • Experience in a similar role or operating larger vehicles is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all airport regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
