Job Title: Airside Driver

Location: Manchester Airport

Pay Rate: £13.03 per hour

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (night shifts as well as day shifts)

Reporting To: Operations Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Airside Driver to join our PRM Airside Driver Team at Manchester Airport. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving our specialist vehicles on the airfield to transfer passengers with reduced mobility (PRMs) from the aircraft to the terminal building or from the terminal building to the aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete daily vehicle checks to ensure operational reliability and report any vehicle defaults as necessary.
  • Drive Company vehicles safely and securely at all times, adhering to airfield driving requirements.
  • Operate vehicles safely in close proximity to aircraft, utilizing all safety systems.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle at all times.
  • Deliver or collect passengers at the aircraft door and assist with transfers using safe manual handling techniques.
  • Complete Customer Care Agent (CCA) duties within the terminal when required, including escorting passengers through security and boarding flights.
  • Ensure the Allocator is updated on job progress using PDA's and Radio.
  • Promote a safe and secure environment at all times.
Requirements
  • Full clean UK driving license with D1.
  • Experience in a similar role or driving larger vehicles is advantageous.
