Job Summary:

UK Power Networks is seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team in the Central London Area. As a Field Engineer, you will play a critical role in the safe delivery of all Distribution Capital Delivery work within the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Safety Management: Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all procedures and regulations.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and plan daily activities, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and minimizing network abnormal running conditions.
  • HV and LV Project Delivery: Ensure the safe delivery of HV and LV projects to time, cost, and quality standards.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and support field staff, ensuring they work to a high standard of quality and adhere to procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with HV/LV control, submitting switching logs and ensuring network operations follow Distribution Safety Rules and Procedures.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to field staff and manage contractual issues with the support of Contract Management.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance checks on completed works and rectify any quality issues identified.
  • Customer Liaison: Liaise with customers to meet their expectations and provide excellent customer service.
  • Team Support: Be prepared to assist other teams as needed.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: ONC Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), HNC Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), NRSWA (City & Guilds) Supervisors certificate, and IT literacy.
  • Desirable Qualifications: LV/HV authorisation on the LPN network, Superuser/champion of new company scheduling and work delivery processes (SAP), IOSH Managing Safely certificate, and familiarity with MS Excel spreadsheets.
