Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a Junior Server Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize server or rack setups, ensuring proper installation and configuration of server operating systems.
  • Conduct daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of servers and associated hardware.
  • Maintain accurate records in internal systems, including Asset Management and Ticketing.
  • Collaborate with remote vendors to address hardware failures or technical issues.
  • Be on-call to respond to issues raised by business stakeholders.
  • Collect and verify online asset data for accuracy.
  • Manage the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process and media destruction.
  • Perform server network troubleshooting and lifecycle management.
  • Assist with various server operation tasks as needed.
  • Identify and escalate complex issues to senior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, with a strong eagerness to learn and a broad technical interest.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative team spirit; capable of working independently.
  • Understanding of server functions and technologies, with the ability to execute simple Shell/Bash scripts.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems and the ability to diagnose hardware issues.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including MAC, Subnet, and TCP/IP, with general troubleshooting skills.
  • Awareness of out-of-band server communication methods, such as IPMI.

Work Duration:

This position is a 12-month contract with the possibility of renewal.

Language Requirements:

Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
